There were about 50 Upstate employees and guests who attended to learn more about the opioid epidemic, and learned how to administer Naloxone in case of an overdose. Participants received two nasal sprayers that could potentially save someone’s life.
The Narcan Training Event was held on Monday, February 26, 2018 at 5pm at SUNY Upstate Medical University New Academic Building room 4414A.
Your chapter of UUP along with the UUP Chapter Action Project sponsored this event to raise awareness about the Opioid Overdose Epidemic and learn a life-saving skill: Narcan Administration. Narcan (naloxone) is the opioid reversal medication for use in an opioid overdose emergency.
